Are You Contracted or Expanded?

Lately, I’ve noticed something surprising. I’ve been contracted.

It crept in quietly, hidden beneath the busyness of life.

Given my work and purpose, my true nature is to be expanded — open to light, joy, and possibility.

And yet… there I was, tight and small, forgetting to breathe.

A Moment of Awakening

Last night, I did something unusual. I took a muscle relaxer.

My stomach was spasming, and I simply wanted to rest.

This morning, walking Dobby (the love of my life 🐶), I felt different.

Taller. Lighter. Moving with ease.

Every step felt fluid, free and expansive.

Then I realized… it was the muscle relaxer.

And though I was grateful for the relief, it was also a revelation.

When did I become so tight?

How long had I been living in contraction, without noticing?

It made me smile, gently and compassionately, because even those of us who help others open and release can forget our own expansion.

From Human Doing to Human Being

We are living in times that constantly ask us to do more, achieve more, and hurry faster.

But in all this doing, have we forgotten how to be?

Life calls to us — softly, but insistently — to remember the sacred rhythm of our own being.

To breathe, to unfurl, to return to the flow that is our birthright.

We are not meant to live clenched and striving.

We are meant to live expanded.

(And no, a muscle relaxer isn’t required😊)

Begin with the Body

Our bodies are wise.

They whisper to us through tight shoulders, clenched jaws, or shallow breath.

Notice how you hold yourself.

Are you folding inward, protecting, bracing against life?

Or are you allowing your heart and energy to expand outward, into connection?

Sometimes simple awareness is the first step toward opening.

The Foundation of Expansion — The First Chakra

In Rapid Eye Technology, we speak of four bodies — physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual — each expanding in harmony, each part of a single luminous field.

At the root of it all is the First Chakra — our foundation.

It asks us powerful questions:

  • Am I here to survive or to thrive?

  • Do I live as a reflection of my tribe, or as a Divine Being with my own identity and light?

  • Do I choose to contract or to expand?

When we clear and balance the First Chakra, we strengthen the ground beneath us.

From that solid root, all the higher chakras can open and we begin to remember why we came:

To experience ourselves as light,

as love in motion,

as beings expanding into being.

Choose Expansion

Awareness leads to choice.

And choice leads to freedom.

Let’s remember — expansion is not something we earn.

It’s who we already are.

All we need is to return to it.
